There are three steps to becoming a volunteer:
- Orientation - Call (415) 925-7258 to register
- Adults (18 years of age and over): 1st Saturday of each month - 9:30-10:30 a.m.
- Youth (14-18 year old high school students): 1st Saturday of each month - 10:30A.M. – 12:00 P.M., includes SMILE Training
There are no Orientations held in January, July, and December. - Medical Clearance from MGH Employee Health Services (no cost to applicant)
- Two TB tests
- Immunity Certification from physician (or school nurse)
- Join the Volunteer Program
- Interview
- Purchase uniform
- Competency Exam
- Sign Oath of Confidentiality
- Placement, Schedule & Training
- Photo I.D. badge
