Opened in 1952, Marin General Hospital is a non-profit community medical center. The hospital is licensed for 235 acute care beds, offers full-service medical care to the public and is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

    Seventeen adult acute care beds, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient services for adults and seniors, psychiatric and medical social work services.
     
    Breast Diagnostic Center of Marin
    Offers breast health services and education.

     
    Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
    Conducts procedures to study coronary arteries, heart valves and functions.

     
    Cardiac Specialty Unit
    Intensive nursing care and monitoring for patients with complex needs and/or cardiac discuse.

     
    Chaplaincy Program
    Provides emotional and spiritual support services for patients and their families and friends.

     
    Diagnostic Special Procedures Suite
    Comprehensive inpatient and emergency service, including the MERCI Retrieval System for stroke patients.

     
    Emergency Department
    Marin's Level III Trauma Center, with a Paramedic base station and 24-hour service.  Staffed by specially trained emergency department nurses and by board certified emergency care physicians.

     
    Family Birth Center
    Individualized birthing options/classes in a family environment. Pediatricians are on duty at the hospital 24/7.

    Comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative speech, language

    The Marin Hospitalist Medical Group
    The Marin Hospitalist Medical Group is a group of internal medicine physicians who care for hospitalized patients at MGH.

     
    Medical Units
    For patients with general acute medical problems and special outpatient procedures.

     
    Neonatal Intensive Care:
    The only facility in Marin for seriously ill infants.

     
    Nuclear Medicine
    Inpatient and emergency services available 24/7.  Routine outpatient services available weekdays and Saturdays.

     
    Pediatrics
    A full range of pediatric services. Pediatricians are on duty at the hospital 24/7.

     
    Pharmacy
    The inpatient pharmacy is open 24 hours a day.

     
    Physical Therapy
    Inpatient services every day of the week.  Outpatient services are available weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.  General rehabilitation in orthopedics and specialists in lymphedema and urinary incontinence.

     
    Radiation Therapy
    Offers radiation treatment therapy.

     
    Respiratory Care
    Twenty-four hour a day care for inpatients.  Outpatient therapy available.

     
    Shared Care Unit
    Family centered care for patients with cancer, AIDS, or terminal illness.

     
    Surgery
    Six surgery suites, averaging 550 cases a month.

     
    Surgery Center of Marin
    The Surgery Center of Marin offers elective outpatient surgeries - cataract removal, arthroscopic surgeries, tonsillectomies and hernia repairs, and diagnostic/therapeutic procedures such as breast biopsies and endoscopies.
