Launches New Website
A new website showcases the Marin Cancer Institute, a center for cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment and recovery. www.marincancerinstitute.org includes information on the MCI care team as well as an opportunity to learn about various types of cancer, prevention and testing guidelines, how to cope with a cancer diagnosis and MCI¹s comprehensive services and treatment options.
"Consumers will be able to use this website as a comprehensive resource for cancer information," said Dr. Lloyd Miyawaki, MCI Medical Director. "We provide our patients with compassionate, personal care combined with state-of-the-art technology. MCI's doctors, staff and volunteers are dedicated to the physical and emotional well-being of every patient and family member."
A Support & Hope section is offered for patients and their families to tap into a network of support groups and services a very important addition to every patient's treatment and recovery process.
The Marin Cancer Institute physicians have specialized training in cancer, university-level expertise, the latest technology and personalized, integrative care all in a comfortable community setting.
MCI is approved by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons - the only nationally recognized organization that rates cancer programs. Only 20% of cancer programs in the U.S. participate and are approved.
