MGH welcomes new CT Scanner
A $1.3 million CT Scanner was recently unveiled in Diagnostic Radiology. The scanner is faster and provides vastly improved three dimensional detail.
“This new scanner is the only one of its kind in a Marin hospital,” said Cori Jackson, Director of Diagnostic Imaging. “This scanner provides us with images assembled from 64 slices compared to the old four slice scanner.”
The installation project lasted nearly three months. During that time, scans were housed in a trailer in the rear parking area. Special thanks to Jim Whitlock, Mike King, Marcie Cerini and Gayle Weber Sheldon.
