MGH Offers New Diabetes Care Program

Marin General Hospital this week announced a new Diabetes Care Program for patients.

“Diabetes is a chronic condition that affects many of our patients,” said Michelle Quigley-Martinez, RN, Chief Nursing Officer. “If not well managed, it places patients at higher risk for other serious health problems.”

Dr. Linda Gaudiani, an endocrinologist, is the Medical Director of the new program. She is currently President of Marin Endocrine Care and Research and Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of California Medical Center, San Francisco.

Mindy Schwartz, RN, MSN, CNS, is the new Certified Diabetes Educator. Prior to joining MGH, she managed Diabetes Services at California Pacific Medical Center for 17 years. Schwartz earned a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing at California State University, Dominguez Hills, and a Master’s degree in Nursing at San Francisco State University.
