Sanders Named MGH Employee Of The Year
Joanne Sanders, a desktop specialist in Marin General Hospital’s Information Technology Department, was named Employee of the Year for 2005.
Sanders received a $300 check, a $500 gift certificate from a local travel agency and a reserved parking space on the MGH campus for a year. Her formal portrait will be placed on the hospital’s second floor Wall of Fame.
Here is a sampling of what one of her nominators wrote about Sanders: “She has always been wonderful to work with, very responsive and knowledgeable. She is a true professional in every sense of the word.”
Sanders, who was employee of the month in July, joined the MGH staff in 2003.
MGH began its Employee of the Month recognition program in January 2002. At year’s end, employees select the Employee of the Year from the monthly winners.
The criteria for selection includes: a commitment to professional pride and care; be self-motivated and accountable; demonstrate a positive, conscientious and considerate attitude toward patients, fellow employees and others; outstanding performance of any kind within the hospital to the benefit of their department and/or their co-workers; and excellence in the performance of their particular job.
