1,768 Babies Delivered At MGH In 2005

The Family Birthing Center at Marin General welcomed 1,768 babies last year and the most popular names were Emily and Ryan.

Center Director Kirsten Sellier, RN, said 857 girls and 911 boys were delivered – including 51 sets of twins and a set of triplets.

Other popular girls names were Angel, Isabella, Sofia, Ashley, Jennifer, Sarah and Sophia. Other popular boys names were Jack, Alexander, Jose, William, Dylan, Jackson and Michael.

The hospital has assisted with almost 74,000 births since it opened in 1952.
