Adult, Child and Infant CPR/Defibrillator Training Class

This course follows the guidelines of the American Safety Health Institute for CPR. Taught by a Certified CPR Instructor who is also certified by the American Safety Health Institute (ASHI), this basic life support (BLS) program is intended for expectant couples, parents and community members who may need to respond to an emergency, especially those involving the care of an infant or child. Couples will be trained to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies, including choking. Students will learn how to provide CPR and resuscitation and defibrillation with an automated external defibrillator.

To reduce or minimize the risk of disease transmission, everyone involved in CPR training will use a separate, sanitized training manikin. Also, having your own manikin makes for more hands-on practice.

CPR training does require physical activity. If you have a medical condition or disability that will prevent you from participating in practice sessions, please inform your instructor. The instructor will make any reasonable accommodations possible.

Participants will test their knowledge and receive an ASHI Community CPR Certification Completion Card, valid for two years. Students should wear comfortable clothing and bring a snack and beverage.
